Ringaroos (pronounced “Ring-Ah-Ruse”) is a mobile app designed to help you create a timely distraction in situations where you need an exit. With just a tap, you can initiate or schedule a simulated phone call. When you choose to “answer” the call, Ringaroos discreetly activates your rear camera—without sound or flash—to capture three images or record a brief 4-5 second video (with sound). This visual evidence is then paired with your pre-set emergency message, an instant street-view map of your location, and the timestamp of the incident. The complete “Call-to-Action Message” is automatically sent via email or SMS to your designated emergency contacts.
For situations when you simply need a diversion without recording any evidence, Ringaroos also functions as a “Fake Call Only” app, allowing you to hang up without triggering the camera.
