Sign up for an account by providing your basic information and setting a secure password.
Personalize your app settings to suit your preferences, including emergency contacts.
Once your settings are configured, you’re all set! Use the app to stay safe and connected.
Ringaroos, pronounced “Ring Ah Ruse” uses a Fake Phone Call as a Ruse to help get you out of sticky situations.
When you pretend to answer, it automatically-
Turns on the phone’s outwards facing camera (you’re able to focus camera on your chosen subject or object)
Snaps three pics or a short video without activating flash/sound.
Sends the pics or video to your selected emergency contact/s, along with your –
Personal pre-written emergency message
Your current location address with Google Map
Time and date pics/video taken
A First Date with the stranger
Buying/Selling items from a stranger from an online Ad etc.
Meeting a stranger for a Real Estate Transaction in an isolated location and/or after hours.
Meeting with someone you’ve never met before for a business transaction.
You feel your safety could be compromised O Getting out of a meeting or a tense situation O Keeping tabs on your kids for ensuring their safety.
Any other situation you feel you may need it.
Note: If you don’t wish to activate the camera when the Fake Call comes in, hang-up like you would a regular call. Camera will not activate, nor message sent to emergency contact/s.
Initial Setup:
Before using the Ringaroos App for the first time, go to “Settings” and set up the following:
Add Contacts:
Add at least one contact (may add up to three).
Select how you wish the Ringaroos Emer- gency Message be sent to each contact –
Note: We suggest that you advise your Emergency Contact/s to expect the Ringaroos Message in the event you have an emergency.
Caller Name:
Place any name here that helps you identify it as the Ringaroos Fake Call.
Example: Mom, Dad, Jane H, Harry D. etc.
Custom Message
Place whatever message you wish to send to your emergency contact/s. This message will be sent along with the –
3 pics or video taken when the Fake Call is answered
The time and date pictures/video taken
Your approximate location details (including Google Street-view/Map)
Option 1: Immediate Fake Call
Find yourself in in a situation where you might need to remove yourself or secretly capture images or video of the situation.
Start the Ringaroos Fake Call immediately, by selecting “Call Now”.
Phone rings as if you’re receiving a real phone call
Use whatever strategy you feel will not arouse suspicion when capturing images
Pretend to answer
The Ringaroos App will automatically start the outwards-facing camera (No camera sound or no flash, so be in a reasonably well-lit area)
Focus camera –
The camera automatically snaps three images or records a short five seconds video with sound
Option 2: Scheduled A Fake
Think you may find yourself in any of the situations where you may need to remove yourself and/or secretly capture images or video of the interaction.
Then, For android up to 60 minutes and for iphone up to 1 min.
Then pretend to answer the Fake Call when the phone rings after scheduled time, and the Ringaroos APP secretly snaps pics or video-records the incident
The Ringaroos App then automatically sends the following to your selected Emergency Contacts by text or email or both – based on your choice in Settings.
For iPhone: Supports video recording only.
For Android: Allows capturing either three photos or a video.
Your current approximate location including Map
Your emergency message
The time that the images/video taken
You’re then taken back to the main screen, while a pop-up message appears saying, “Message Sent”
That’s it! Simple, isn’t it?
Note: Always ensure you have active data or Wi-fi service when using the App, as the Ringaroos message may be delayed or not sent at all.
Select “Set Call Timer”
Then rotate the Ringaroos Timer to the number of minutes (from 1 to 60) you wish to delay the Fake Call.

Note: Once the Fake Call is scheduled, you’ll receive the following pop-up message on the App “Fake Call Schedule”. Acknowledge this message then continue using your device as needed for other functions.
